    Dr. Travis Wright, DVM

Dr. Travis Wright, a native to San Antonio, began his focus towards Veterinary Medicine at a young age. Even as young as his kindergarten years, he was aware of his calling to work with God's creatures. During his elementary years, Dr. Wright developed a strong interest in riding and showing horses. Through middle school and high school he traveled the country earning numerous titles in his equestrian competitions.

By the end of high school, Dr. Wright decided to begin his adventure towards becoming a veterinarian. His first job was in Boerne, just northwest of San Antonio, at an equine practice focusing on surgery and lameness. There he was fortunate to learn many skills, both in business and medicine that have continued to help him over the years.

After high school, Dr. Wright attended Texas A&M University where he did his undergraduate studies in Biomedical Science. Prior to completing his degree, he was accepted to Texas A&M's College of Veterinary Medicine. While working towards his doctorate, Dr. Wright also became engaged and eventually married Dr. Michele Wright, who is Dr. Ehrlund's youngest daughter.

Upon completion of veterinary school, Dr. Wright began working as an equine ambulatory veterinarian, treating horses in and around the Boerne area. After doing this for a period of time, he decided it was in his heart's desire to expand his medicine to include small animals. As timing would have it, Dr. Ehrlund's practice was just getting near the point that a second doctor was in need.

Today, Dr. Wright is proud to be a part of such a wonderful team at Heritage Veterinary Medical Center. In his free time, Dr. Wright still enjoys riding horses, skeet/trap shooting, tailgating for Aggie football games and spend time with his wife Dr. Michele Wright.

Dr. Wright grew up in Helotes, Texas as the daughter of two veterinarians.  Keeping with the family tradition, she married a fellow classmate who is an equine veterinarian, and after graduation they came back to her hometown.

Her favorite past time activities include going to Aggie football games, scrap booking, and event planning which includes weddings.  Dr. Wright enjoys riding her Arabian horses and learning reining on her husband's Quarter horse.  She has two beautiful kitties, Jasmine and Ariel, as well as a boisterous and smart Golden Retriever named Beamer.
